Uganda Wildlife Tour-Murchison, Kibale, Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi safari (7days)
This 7 days’ safari starts and ends in Kampala. The safari will take you chimp tracking in Kibale forest National Park, a captivating forest and birding at the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. From Kibale, you will head to Queen Elizabeth National Park in the West of Uganda to view of the Pearl of Africa with its game and bird life. Later the safari will end in Bwindi Gorilla Forest where you will track the endangered mountain gorillas and then return to Kampala.
Safari Itinerary
After breakfast head out to Murchison falls national park. You will go through the famous Luwero triangle, Budongo forest on the western arm of the Great Rift Valley.
The journey will offer you with great sceneries that are picturesque to reach the park in the afternoon.Then take a drive to the top of the falls . Here you will see the calm Nile that travels a distance of about 150 ft down .Dinner & Overnight at Paraa Lodge
Start you day with a game drive before dawn to catch up with predators and early risers. During the game drive drive you will see animals like jackals, hyenas, giraffe, lion, antelope, elephant, and the Uganda kob and many others. You will retire from the game drive for late breakfast and lunch and then in the afternoon you will go for a launch cruise on the Victoria Nile. The cruise will take you to the bottom of the falls where you will view animals like the buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, elephants and plenty of water birds like fish eagles and rare shoebills and many more. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/ Red Chilli.
Day 3: Kampala to Kibale
Head to Kibale afetr an early breakfast.Enjoy the beutiful landscape enroute to Kibale which has the highest number of primates in Africa such as Chimpanzees, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Red Tailed monkey and Red Colobus. Arrive late afternoon for relaxation or visit the close by later lakes. Dinner and overnight at Ndali lodge or Primates Lodge (FB)
Day 4: chimpanzee tracking
Go for Chimpanzee tracking in the forest with packed lunch; track the noisy chimps and other primates crashing around through the high canopy of the forest with colorful birds squawking in close proximity such as Grey-Throated Flycatcher, Masked & Black-Capped Apalis', Chestnut-Winged Starling, Orange -Tufted & Tiny Sunbirds. After, walk in Bigodi to see swamp birds. Dinner and overnight at Ndali lodge or Primates Lodge (FB)
Day 5: Enroute to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Transfer straight to Queen Elizabeth National Park located in Western Uganda on Mount Rwenzori foothills. While on the drive, take keen of the wild game that you may come in contact with, on your way to the park. The game seen will depend on the season; the Kasenyi plains are good for lion and the Mweya peninsula for a variety of animals. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge /Jacana Safari Lodge / Institute of Ecology (FB)
Day 6: Kyambura chimpanzee and a boat cruise
Early morning have an expedition to Kyambura Gorge nearby to track chimpanzee. Alternatively go for a nature walk in Maramagambo Forest to see other primates and visit the bat cave and the blue lake. After Lunch, head for the boat cruising at the Kazinga channel. As you cruise, you will view variety of birds and animals and of course the wonderful scenery. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge /Jacana Safari Lodge / Institute of Ecology (FB)
Day 7: Departure
Early return to Kampala, retracing your steps through this green and pleasant land. Picnic lunch en route. Arrive Kampala late afternoon.
